The SKE at RiminiWellness: an extraordinary experience!
Every year, the entire European fitness and wellness ecosystem converges at a single focal point: RiminiWellness. More than just a fair, it is an international movement festival, an explosion of energy that transforms Rimini into the undisputed capital of the industry.
For us, attendance at such a large event was not only an opportunity for visibility, it was instead a validation engine: getting positive feedback is tantamount to a seal of approval for the entire market.
It is difficult to summarize four days of the event in one post, but we want to share three crucial aspects of SKE that we were able to confirm during RiminiWellness.
Total body workout with SKE
The fitness world is undergoing a profound evolution. The specialized figures of the past, such as the bodybuilder focused on mass or the marathon runner focused on endurance, are giving way to a new archetype: the hybrid athlete. This new athletic ideal embodies a perfect balance between strength and endurance, a fusion of skills that until recently were trained separately.
This market evolution requires tools that are up to the challenge. Traditional equipment, which often isolates muscle districts or focuses on one skill (strength or cardio), is no longer sufficient. It is in this context that the first story of our experience at RiminiWellness, dedicated toTotal Body training with the SKE, takes on strategic importance. The video shows the ability of the SKE to generate harmonious and functional muscle development through the "dynamic involvement of legs, arms and back." This is not a marketing statement, but a biomechanical reality. The powerful, alternating push from a static position is not an isolated gesture of the legs. To effectively transfer a force that can exceed 200 kg to the ground requires immense core stabilization and isometric contraction of the entire upper body, which anchors firmly to the dumbbell. As delved into in the article Does the SKE train only the legs?, the tool forces the entire kinetic chain to work in synergy.
The fine line between fatigue and empowerment
In the world of elite athletic training, one walks a very fine line. The second account of our experience at RiminiWellness explores this very boundary: the crucial difference between "train" and "activate." Before a competition, the goal is not to induce fatigue to stimulate long-term adaptation, but to "wake up" the neuromuscular system to maximize performance in the immediate term. This principle, known in physiology as Post-Activation Potentiation (PAP), involves stimulating the nervous system with high-intensity contractions to improve the subsequent ability to recruit muscle fibers and express explosive force.
The athlete's dilemma is how to achieve this "awakening" without paying the price of muscle fatigue. And this is where the SKE reveals its scientific uniqueness. Its design, covered by two international patents, allows purely concentric exercise, eliminating the eccentric phase of the movement (that of "return" or muscle lengthening under load). It is precisely the eccentric contraction that is primarily responsible for muscle damage (DOMS, or delayed onset muscle soreness) and metabolic stress leading to fatigue. Using SKE, athletes can perform maximal thrusts that powerfully excite the central nervous system, achieving a pure PAP effect, without the "background noise" of muscle fatigue.
The experience of the two Hyrox athletes, who used SKE as an activator before their competition at RiminiWellness, is the perfect case study. A Hyrox competition requires repeated explosiveness for an average duration of 90 minutes. To start with muscles already partially fatigued from a traditional warm-up would be competitive suicide. Thanks to activation with SKE, they arrived at the starting line with their nervous systems "turned on" to full potential, but with their energy and muscle reserves fully intact, ready for the grueling challenge ahead.
Is the SKE difficult to understand?
The third video captures the most powerful and universal moment of our experience at RiminiWellness: Transformation. In just a few minutes, we saw the uncertainty in the eyes of hundreds of people transform into awe, confidence, and finally into an expression of pure power. This emotional journey is no accident, but a direct result of SKE's innovative design.
The initial uncertainty is, in fact, a symptom of genuine innovation. The SKE defies any easy categorization: it is not a spin bike, it is not a stepper, it is not an elliptical. The user has no pre-existing mental model to refer to, and this generates a natural hesitation. If it were immediately familiar, it would not be a true revolution. But this uncertainty vanishes the instant the interaction begins, thanks to a key element: the instant feedback loop. The SKE has a system of sensors and an application that provide real-time data on each and every push.
The process is incredibly powerful. The user pushes and sees a number on the screen: his power. He concentrates, compacts the core, grabs onto the dumbbell and pushes again. The number is higher. This creates a direct, immediate and motivating link between effort, technique and result. It is a form of gamification applied to strength training. The exercise is transformed into a compelling challenge against oneself, where each push is an opportunity to surpass one's previous "score." This makes the hard work of strength training more engaging and fun, increasing grip and results.
Beyond the Fair, into the future
We leave RiminiWellness with a heightened awareness and incredible energy. The event was not an arrival point, but a powerful springboard. The hundreds of tests, the smiles, expressions of amazement and enthusiastic feedback from athletes, coaches and ordinary enthusiasts represented the most important validation: that of the market.
We want to extend a huge thank you to everyone who stopped by and got involved by trying the SKE: your energy was our greatest reward and confirmation that we are on the right track.
Now, the gaze is turned to the future. The SKE is poised to lead a revolution in the way we conceive, train, and release strength. We invite everyone to join this movement, find out more on our website, and join the pre-order list to be among the first to experience the future of training. The revolution has just begun.
